Dracula Folk Tale and Old Walled Churches

Day 1: Bucharest – Snagov Monastery See More – Peles Castle See More – Bran Castle See More – Brasov See More (overnight)

Transylvania is the perfect destination for a unique tour, so in the next two days we will explore and visit the beauties of its center. In the vicinity of Bucharest, in the middle of a scenic lake, there is Snagov Monastery See More , which centuries ago, was a place of torture. Here were imprisoned boyars and participants of the Revolution in 1848. Escaping was not in anyone’s mind, because like the famous Alcatraz, the prison site was practically impenetrable. Today, this place only keeps prisoner the most famous history character of Romania: Vlad Țepeș called Dracula. On the way to Brașov, we stop at Peleș Castle and then on Prahova Valley we arrive to Bran Castle See More , where you can see pieces of furniture from the Renaissance period. We stay overnight in Brașov.

Day 2: Brasov See More   -Saschiz See More Fortified Church – Viscri See More Village – Darjiu See More Fortified Church – Bucharest

Next day, in the morning we do a short tour of Brașov after which our day is dedicated to the fortified churches in Transylvania, which are part of the UNESCO heritage. First, we stop at the clock tower of the church in Saschiz See More , where we can also admire the fortress rising on the hill nearby. We say goodbye and head towards Viscri See More and Darjiu See More , where we meet frescoes of an inestimable value. We end our journey in the evening in Bucharest.
