The fortified evangelical church from Velt, Sibiu See More county, was built in the XVth century.

The initial wall of the enclosure were taller and had an oval shape. The fortress is delimited on one side by the banks of a river, creating a natural defense portion. For a long-lasting resistance, the enclosure wall should have a minimum 5 meters height and it is assumed that its upper part was provided with ramparts, that could be reached from a sentry road.
