Bygone Times Circuit

Day 1: Landing – Bucharest tour – Parlament Building – Hotel (overnight)

After landing, we will slowly try to adjust to Romania and the best way to do that is to start with a tour of Bucharest, which will surely include the Palace of the Parliament that, according to certain specialists, is considered the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon. We spend the first night in Bucharest, also called the Little Paris.

Day 2: Bucharest – Peles Castle See More – Bran Castle See More – Rasnov Fortress See More   – Brasov See More (overnight)

Transylvania is waiting for us with open arms, so we gladly steps into the Peleș Castle which is one of the most important historic buildings in Romania, having a unique character and, by its historical and artistic value,is one of the most important monuments of this type in Europe. Next stop will be at Bran Castle See More to explore the history, myth, intrigue and magic of this wonderful place in Transylvania. On our way to Brașov, we will also stop at Râșnov Fortress. The night will surprise us in the wonderful city in the foothills of Tâmpa mountain.

Day 3: Brasov See More Old Town – Rupea Fortress See More – Viscri See More Village – Sighisoara See More (overnight)

In the morning after having your coffee, we start walking through the old center of Brașov, the first stop being at Rupea fortress See More , from where we will admire the world from the highest point of the fortress. We will then visit the rural village of Viscri See More and the oldest fortified church in Transylvania. We will spend the night in the old town of Sighișoara.

Day 4: Sighisoara See More Old Town – Biertan See More Fortified Church – Sibiu See More Old Town – Sibiu See More (overnight)

We start day four with a tour of Sighișoara fortress, and then we leave towards the church from Biertan See More , built in the XVIth century. In the evening, we arrive to Sibiu See More , where before dinner, we will have a tour of the old city.

Day 5: Sibiu See More – Cozia Monastery See More – Poienari Fortress See More – Vidraru Dam See More – Transfagarasan See More – Curtea de Arges Monastery See More – Bucharest

Since in the last day the road is long, we will start in the morning with the Olt Valley up to Cozia Monastery See More , one of the most authentic jewels of the local church architecture, then we head for Vidraru Dam See More and Poienari fortress See More , a historic monument of the XIVth century. We will continue our route to Curtea de Argeș Monastery, and finally we arrive in the capital, excited about the ever changing landscapes, the harmonic performances that have made an uplifting impression, because we have crossed their threshold … and visited ,,a page of their story’’.
