Bethlen Castle See More in Arcalia is one of the ‘unknown’ castles of Romania. It was built around 1850s and it belonged to Count Bethlen Balazs and his family of Hungarian noblemen.

An unprecedented aspect of Bethlen Castle See More is that it is the only construction in byzantine style in the whole of Transylvania.

Another feature of the building is its dendrological park surrounding the castle stretching on a surface of approximately 40 acres where visitors can see about 150 species of trees and shrubs from different corners of the world, like the silver fir-tree, the Caucasian spruce or the Japanese acacia.

Especially interesting is the park structure with main alleys delineating the park (of spruce, acacia and yoke elms), secondary alleys and the labyrinth alley.
